Within the EU- Latin America and Caribbean Aviation Partnership project (EU-LAC APP), EASA will hold the “Conference on Cybersecurity in Aviation – Taking stock!” at the International Air Cybersecurity at International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) in Santiago, Chile.

The EU LAC APP event will be held on 5 April 2022 and its objective is to give an update on the European approach towards Cybersecurity and to strengthen the exchange and dialogue with partners in the region.

Cybersecurity nowadays is becoming more important due to the need to protect critical data and information, which is under constant threat of new technological developments and attacks executed by cybercriminals. As a result, FIDAE will showcase the development of this growing market with series of events and applications. EASA will contribute by giving an overview on the European perspective and providing practical examples.

The International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE, is the foremost aerospace, defence and security exhibition of Latin America. Due to its long and successful career, today is globally recognized as the leading event in the region. FIDAE, in its 2022 edition, will be held from Tuesday April 5th to Sunday April 10th, 2022, on the north side of the Santiago International Airport, Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez.

Some EU companies are among the exhibitors are for example: Airbus, Leonardo. They will also be part of the EASA Conference panel.
